Scope note

A technique involving one or more physical alterations performed on a writing substrate in order to turn it into a letterpacket and secure it shut. Manipulations include:

fold/roll, tuck, adhere, slit/hole, lock – further subdivided into lock-other substrate (lock-O), lock-same substrate, attached (lock-SA), and lock-same substrate, unattached (lock-SU).
